In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five music and podcasts applications in South America displayed diverse performance trends. According to Sensor Tower data, the apps that led the market were Spotify - Music and Podcasts, Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts, YouTube Music, Resso Music - Songs & Lyrics, and TREBEL Music - Download Songs.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts saw consistent revenue growth throughout the quarter, peaking at about $18.7K in the week of December 19. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable spike to approximately 1.07M in the week of October 24. Active users remained robust, reaching around 62.7M by the end of December.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts experienced a steady rise in revenue, culminating at approximately $3.5K in the last week of December. Downloads surged to around 383K in the same period. Active users consistently grew, hitting roughly 1.2M by the end of the quarter.

YouTube Music maintained high weekly revenue, averaging around $130K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at about 244K in the final week of December. Active users also showed a healthy upward trend, reaching nearly 47.9M by the end of the year.

Resso Music - Songs & Lyrics showed a notable increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $122K in the week of December 19. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a peak of around 200K in the same week. Active users, however, saw a decline, dropping to about 5.8M by the end of December.

TREBEL Music - Download Songs had a varied performance in downloads, spiking to roughly 356K in the week of November 14. Active users increased steadily, reaching around 550K by the week of December 5.
